HMO Leeb Impact Hardness Testers are designed to measure the hardness of various materials and can display and or convert the results into all of these popular hardness units Rockwell (B & C), Vickers (HV), Brinell (HB), Shore (HSD) and Leeb (HL). The unit can also convert into tensile strength (MPa).
The Impact sensor body is bounced against the test object. Depending on its hardness, deformation on the test object reduces the kinetic energy of the impact body. This reduced speed is measured and converted into Leeb Hardness.
The HMO is supplied with a IR printer (battery operated) for on-site printing of measurement protocols, print out includes material type selected, sensor type, test results, average value, difference of Max to min value and date and time. See data sheet and manual for example.
